Interested in swimming for fitness or participating in Masters swimming competitions? We are a group of swimmers that swim a few times a week in the CEPS pool at the Université de Moncton. Most weeks we have dinner after one of our swims. Some of our members swim with the local Masters club where coaching is available.

International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics (IGLA) has member clubs around the world with regular gay and lesbian swim meets. There are also numerous regular Masters swim meets that you can attend if you wish. The masters swimming movement encourages swimmers to primarily strive for self-improvement and personal bests rather than competing against others. Masters swim meets are organized by five year age groups and there are no qualifying requirements to participate.

The Atlantiques attended their first IGLA championship as a team, this past October in Fort Lauderdale. New provincial long course records were established in the three relays that we swam. We also attended our second Coupe de Montreal in November 2004. This year as a five member team.

Whether you want to swim in the Outgames in 2006, tour the world attending IGLA team meets, or just improve your technique and conditioning, come out and swim with us!
